Leadership Colquitt County visits state leaders in Atlanta
ATLANTA — The Leadership Colquitt County Class of 2018-2019 recently took a day trip to Atlanta as part of the nine-month program.
The participants went to the state Capitol where they met with Rep. Sam Watson, R-Moultrie. He discussed his duties as state representative along with current bills in this year’s session, according to a press release from the Moultrie-Colquitt County Chamber of Commerce, which sponsors Leadership Colquitt County.
“The class then traveled to the Centergy Building where they met with some of our state partners,” the press release said. “First, they met with Taylor Walden from Deputy Commissioner Amy Carter’s office. He shared about their Rural Georgia Initiatives plan and about their visits with communities across the state.
“Secondly, we heard from Craig Dominey, senior film location specialist and Camera Ready Program Manager of Georgia Film with the Department of Economic Development,” the release said. “Mr. Dominey led a discussion on the impact that film production is having in our state.
“Lastly, we visited with Morgan Law, senior VP of economic and community development with the Georgia Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Law talked about the Georgia Chamber programs and how they are a resource across the state.”
