Sumi Ink stick painting
MOULTRIE, Ga. — Campers experienced ancient Chinese art with Sumi Ink sticks and Suzuki Ink stones in a recent art camp at the Colquitt County Arts Center.
It is a slow process of grinding down an ink stick with a little bit of water inside a well to create black ink that can then be used for painting. For this project, the campers painted bamboo and added textures and leaves in their designs.
