Man charged after dispute at his mother’s house

MOULTRIE, Ga. — A Colquitt County man was arrested after a domestic dispute in which his mother reported that he went on a rampage in her residence when she would not let him use her truck to visit his girlfriend.

Police were dispatched at about 6 p.m. Thursday to a Norman Park address to investigate a report that a man was inside a semi-truck trailer and could be armed with a pistol.

At the 1348 J.R. Suber Road residence Angela Lawson reported that Seth Adam Lawson became “very angry” because she would not let him use the truck and started throwing things around the house.

She told police that her son knocked over the fireplace utensil rack and a wooden container holding silverware and also turned over chairs in the kitchen, breaking the leg of one of them. She also reported that the Crockpot in which she was cooking her grandchildren’s dinner was broken during the rampage.

Seth Adam Lawson, 29, was charged with criminal trespass.
