TIFTON — Tift County’s football fundraiser will be ending soon and with it, plenty of deals to restaurants in Tifton.

Head coach Ashley Anders said Thursday will be the final day of the sale. The team has dubbed the occasion “Blitz Day.”

After team photos — currently scheduled for Thursday morning — Blue Devils players will head out into the community in their jerseys to sell the coupons.

“They’ll be out and about in the community until 3 p.m.,” said Anders.

The coupons, which cost $20, have deals to many restaurants, including Papa Johns, Barberitos, Hardee’s, Marco’s Pizza, Taco Bell, Chili’s, Bojangles, El Patron, Firehouse Subs, Smoothie King, Arby’s and Sonic. There is also a coupon for Griffin Ford.

Among the free items available with the coupons are pizza, sausage biscuits, cheeseburgers, sandwiches and smoothies.

Anders said fans can also contact the Tift County athletic department if they would like to purchase the coupons.

Football season is nearing for the Blue Devils. The Soap Bowl will be Aug. 3 and on Aug. 10, the team will scrimmage at Lee County.
