CCREA presents School Bell Award to Cpl. Todd Myrick

MOULTRIE, Ga. — The Colquitt County Retired Educators Association presented Cpl. Todd Myrick of the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office with its 2019-2020 School Bell Award.

The award is presented annually to a non-educator who provides outstanding educational service to students of Colquitt County. Myrick supports students not only in his role as a school resource officer but also as a volunteer football coach, a mentor, a member of the Gang Awareness Unit and a strong proponent of students who work hard to achieve their goals.

Myrick and his wife, Lena, began the foundation “Jump Start,” which provides mentoring support and financial assistance for students in need to enable them to take college entrance exams.

Julia Dorminey, president of CCREA, presented the award on behalf of the group.
