Southwest Georgia Farm Credit opens new Thomasville branch

THOMASVILLE- Southwest Georgia Farm Credit announced the opening of a new location in Thomasville. The office, at 1215 E. Jackson St., will continue to be a central location for borrowers in Grady and Thomas counties.

“We take great pride in developing long-lasting relationships with the landowners, farmers, and homeowners of Southwest Georgia,” Paxton Poitevint, CEO at Southwest Georgia Farm Credit, said. “Being able to have access to a team of lenders who are nearby is critically important for the customers we do business with. We’ve always been part of the Thomasville community, but now, we have a larger space in which our team can grow and where our borrowers can drop in and have a conversation with ease. We’re excited for this opportunity to expand and to continue to meet the needs of our customer-owners at an exceptional level. We’re proud to be local.”

Southwest Georgia Farm Credit serves 21 counties, from the Georgia-Florida border to just south of Columbus. For more than a century, the association has been providing loans for land, recreational properties, home loans, agricultural purposes, and farm equipment. All of these services and more will be available to borrowers in the Thomasville area.

The association hosted a ribbon cutting and open house on May 2.
