Berlin man faces 5 counts child molestation

MOULTRIE, Ga. — A Berlin man accused of sexually abusing a girl under the age of 10 faces 10 felony charges in connection with what police described as multiple occasions of molestation.

Police arrested Justin Eric Hendrixson, 32, of 128 Ingram St., on Friday on one count each of sexual battery and child molestation. This week four additional counts of each charge were filed.

Hendrixson is accused of performing sexual acts with the girl, who at the time of the incidents was 9, on five occasions over about a year’s time, said Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Austin Scott.

The girl was no longer living at the residence at the time of Hendrixson’s arrest.

Hendrixson has a previous criminal record but it does not include any convictions for child molestation, Cannon said.

He has previous convictions on charges of violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act and theft of motor vehicle or parts, according to the Georgia Department of Corrections.

He served six months in prison in 2010 on the drug conviction, and prior to that served about a year and four months behind bars from January 2008-May 2009.
