Rant and Rave for Sept. 27, 2018

Presumption of innocence?

“CNN’s Tapper to Senator Hirone D-HI, ‘Doesn’t Kavanaugh have the same presumption of innocence as anyone else in America?’ Sen. Hirone, ‘I put his denial in the context of everything else that I know about him in terms of how he approaches his cases.’ Constitutionalists, then, are presumed sexual assaulters? And due process should only be available to Democrats?”

Guaranteed basic income

“Comments about guaranteed basic income are spot on. Workers getting taxed to death will soon realize the more they work, the more they get taxed, just so the lazies don’t work. Soon, there won’t be enough workers to pay the way for non-workers. Where will money come from then? Why work when you can get paid to do nothing?”

Hope that doesn’t jinx the Pack

“I sure do hope our Packers aren’t jinxed by the comment ‘History tells us Alcovy has little chance of knocking off the Packers’ that was on the Sports page Tuesday! Famous last words.”

Pulling the ditches

“Can anyone from Roads and Bridges explain why the county apparently no longer pulls the ditches in front of our homes? Ours is almost level with the road and water now runs down the driveway and puddles up. What’s the problem? Do we need to call in a request?”

Trump has kept all his promises

“To the person who has studied liars, Donald Trump has kept every campaign promise he made. Would you rather be at near war with North Korea, have higher unemployment, give up tax decreases, etc. That would be easy. Just vote Democrat and they will fix you up, but don’t complain if they do.”
