LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Logical solution is an end of political parties
It’s Saturday P M we now have a confirmed Supreme Court Judge Kavanugh, his accusers did not present a preponderance of evidence relative to their contrived trashy display of an affront to our accepted English common law system of jurisprudence. How will our federal government succeed in handling the needs and responsibilities of government?
First we lay out the root cause and effect party politics. We state the obvious, two factions so diametrically opposed cannot under any circumstance function as a proper government. Evidence: Democrats want Medicare for all without regard for cost. Republicans, say are you out of your mind, private insurance is the answer.
My considered opinion: Scrap party politics. Allow by constitutional change the removal of party politics. As a Federal congressional body all laws enacted must engender mankind equally. Positive legislation only will emerge without interference from party differences. Congress will have no incentives to embrace political hacks representing tradesmen wanting to do business with our government. Congressional re-election campaigns will be judged on job performance. Those with an acceptable job performance will go down the hall and to the cashier and get government re-election funds. Bad performers will go home.Cost of everything will be reduced to a competitive level, you get the idea, you completely understand, party politics is no longer a viable option for citizens wishing open honest government. Party hacks have worn out their presumed usefulness. This future can be yours by eliminating political parties, of course as a non-party Congressional body, these boys will make up some laws requiring all states to abandon party politics.
With majority rule we take on ancient Greek philosophical methods of democracy, one man one vote, majority rule. If it stinks it’s probably a skunk; bad legislation becomes impossible to bring to a vote. Note; I draw the line at the Greeks 500 man jury. Socorates, was found guilty by such a mob (Majority Vote). Socrates, inquired of his jail attendant how best do I take this vial of hemlock.
