Book-signing to feature first novel by Moultrian Stephanie Hendry

MOULTRIE, Ga. — Moultrie native Stephanie Hendry will hold a book signing Oct. 21 for her debut novel, “All I Ever Wanted.”

The event will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Beans and Strings Coffee Shop, 19 First St. S.E.

“All I Ever Wanted” tells the gripping story of two couples caught in a web of lies, betrayal and deceit. Sharon is married to McKenzie Taylor – the owner of a successful architecture business. But McKenzie is just not giving Sharon the time and love she craves so she seeks satisfaction through one of her husband’s clients. Her single friend, Mercedes, finally meets the man of her dreams. But the dream man is turning out to a real nightmare when she discovers he isn’t all he’s cracked up to be. Both women discover that looks are deceiving and that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side.

Hendry was born and raised in Moultrie. After living in several parts of the country, due to her husband being in the   military, they returned several years ago to resettle in her native town.

Questioned about the motivation for the novel, Hendry explained: “I am an avid reader but in 2009, the year I embarked on writing the novel, I had read a short paragraph of someone’s life as a child, it didn’t have a name on it, just a few lines. This is where the idea began and the challenge started.”

The author also revealed that over the years, she worked on the book whenever she found time but only felt compelled to complete it after her husband challenged her to do so.

Launched in late August, “All I Ever Wanted” has been racking up perfect five star ratings on Amazon. One reader wrote: “This is a great book that will leave you speechless. Great story line that grabs your attention from the beginning to end. I’m patiently waiting on the next one and I must admit I didn’t want this book to end.”

“All I Ever Wanted” is available for purchase in electronic and paperback formats on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
