Kiwanis Club fundraiser benefits Cox Elementary School

MOULTRIE, Ga. — The Kiwanis Club of Moultrie recently presented a check for over $1,000 to Cox Elementary School. The funds were collected as part of a new fundraiser called “Bucks for Books” to help local elementary schools purchase additional books for their media centers.

The local Kiwanis Club surpassed its $1,000 goal, and a Georgia Kiwanis Foundation grant matched that amount, so the club was able to provide checks  to both Cox and Stringfellow elementary schools. Kiwanis members celebrated by presenting a check to Cox Principal Leamon Madison, Assistant Principal Megan Bishop, and Media Specialist Maggie Presley.
