Man damages dash; another stabbed with arrow

MOULTRIE, Ga. — An angry man who heavily damaged his date’s dashboard while they were driving to a restaurant and a man who stabbed his roommate with an arrow over late rent were among the issues law enforcement dealt with over the holiday weekend.

On Saturday, Norman Park resident Kimberly Jones reported that she and a male acquaintance were riding in her 2003 Dodge Ram truck when he reacted to a remark she made. The incident occurred at about 7 p.m. in the 6500 block of U.S. Highway North while they were driving out of town to get something to eat.

Jones told police that the man kicked the dash of the truck, breaking the center of the dash, the heater control panel and radio mounts. She drove back to her residence and then dropped him off.

At about 1:15 a.m. Sunday Alfredo Vazquez reported that his roommate had stabbed him with an arrow.

He told police the man stabbed him when he told him that he would not have rent money until later in the morning.

Emergency medical personnel evaluated Vazquez and deemed the wound under his left arm to be superficial and would not require further medical attention.

The roommate was not there when police arrived.
