Mother Easter Baptist Church plans Spring Revival next week

MOULTRIE, Ga. — The Rev. Freddie L. Castle and the Mother Easter Baptist Church family will have their Spring Revival on Monday, May 27, through Wednesday, May 29, 7 p.m. nightly.

The Rev. J. Stephon Deen, pastor of First African Baptist Church in Alma, Ga., will be the guest revivalist

Deen is the son of Deacon James Deen and Laura Deen. He was born and educated in Alma, Ga.

He has held the pastoral position at The First African Baptist Church of Alma for the past 14 years. He currently holds the position of moderator for the St. John Missionary Baptist Association. He serves on the Bacon County Recreation Board and the Coastal Pines Adult Education Advisory Board.

Deen held the position of vice president for eight years with the GMBC of Georgia, District 11. He also held positions on the Bacon County High School and Recreational Coaching staff.

Deen is the father of five children and two grandchildren.

Daniel Ward and the Voices of Restoration of Outreach Reach Family Worship Center, where Bishop Johnny Ward serves as pastor, will provide the musical selections for Monday night. Pastor Freddy Williams and Union Missionary Baptist Church will be in charge of Tuesday night’s service and Rev. Freddie Castle and Mother Easter Baptist Church will conclude the revival on Wednesday night.

The public is encouraged to attend. Mother Easter is located at 1400 W. Central Ave.
