Forum will showcase resources available in Moultrie
MOULTRIE, Ga. — Multiple factors characterize a healthy community, but too often citizens are unaware of local resources and have difficulty navigating the systems to locate services. The public is invited to a community forum showcasing resources available that contribute to the overall wellbeing of Moultrie and Colquitt County’s citizens.
Collaborative organizations for the Partnering for a Healthy Community Forum include Moultrie Police Department, Colquitt County Sheriff’s Department, Boys and Girls Club, Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, Georgia Public Safety Training Center, Turning Point, Colquitt Regional Medical Center, NAMI Moultrie (National Alliance on Mental Illness), and Southern Regional Technical College.
Several panels of representatives from multiple agencies will share information with attendees and will provide additional information at their resource tables where they can address individual concerns. Contributors will share information on broad topics including wellness, youth, safety net services, housing and more.
Attendees will have the opportunity to give feedback to assist in identifying gaps in services that will guide future improvements in the community, according to a press release from organizers. There is no charge to attend, but online registration is required: https://www.eventbrite.com/o/nami-moultrie-7952448176 . Registration includes a light lunch.
The Partnering for a Healthy Community Forum will be held Thursday, March 21, at Southern Regional Technical College, 800 N. Veterans Parkway, Moultrie, GA 31768. Sign-in begins at 8 a.m. and representatives will be available at their resource tables to answer questions through 2 p.m.
