Union Missionary Baptist Church to hold Youth Day on Sunday

MOULTRIE, Ga. — Union Missionary Baptist Church and its pastor, the Rev. Freddy Williams, will hold their annual Youth Day celebration at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 25. The speaker will be Dr. Rashad Hanna.

Rashad Hanna, PharmD, is a clinical pharmacy specialist with a focus in anticoagulation. He is currently employed at the Veterans Affairs Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Tifton, Ga.

In his role, Hanna focuses on the management of blood thinning medications in patients with conditions such a venous thromboembolism and atrial fibrillation in the outpatient setting. He also assists in the management of chronic diseases such as hypertension, type 2 diabetes, and hyperlipidemia, amongst others.

He is a 2015 Summa Cum Laude graduate of the Florida A&M University College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences with a doctorate in pharmacy. In 2016, he completed a pharmacy general practice residency with a focus in ambulatory care at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C.

He is the son of Richard and Regina Hanna and the grandson of Moultrie resident Ossie Wilson.
