MHS Class of 1960

The Moultrie High School Class of 1960 will meet at 6:30 p.m. tonight, Jan. 12, at Ole Times Country Buffet in Tifton.

Committee meeting

The Recreation Advisory Committee will meet at 7:30 a.m. Jan. 25 at the County Administrator’s Office in the Courthouse Annex. It is the committee’s quarterly meeting.

Anniversary sing

The Faithful Servants will hold their Ninth Anniversary Sing at 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, at Victory Baptist Church, 3917 U.S. Highway 319 S. in Tifton. An appreciation meal will be served in the social hall immediately following the sing.

Genealogy 101

Have you ever wondered about your great-grandparents? Or have you wanted to work on your family history, but you had no idea how to get started?

Then this is session for you, the beginning genealogist who wants to know how to get started and what to do when something is found. We’ll explore the local resources, including the wealth of material available at the Ellen Payne Odom Genealogy Library, as well as some online resources.

Genealogy 101 will be held 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, Jan. 14, at the Moultrie Library. This session is free and open to the public.

Get Your Game On!

Join fellow adult game lovers for an afternoon of fun 1:30-4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14. Play Hand & Foot, Scrabble, Rummikub, Uno, Checkers and more! A table for colorists will be available. This session is free and open to the public. The group will meet in the classroom next to the children’s section.
