MOULTRIE — The Colquitt County girls 4×400 set a personal best, as did Shetivia Sims in 300 hurdles, at the Region 1-AAAAA track meet finals held Tuesday at Hugh Mills Stadium in Albany.

Lowndes won the girls region championship. Warner Robins was second.

The 4×400 team of Yunira Taylor, Sarah Strong, Shetivia Sims and Umeika Henry finished fourth with a 4:21. Sims was fourth in the 300 hurdles with a 51.2.

Tiffany Lewis was eighth in the 300 hurdles and eighth in the 100 hurdles.

Tia Pittman was seventh in the 100 hurdles.

In the 400 meters, Betty Trimble was seventh and Umeika Henry was eighth.

Shay Frazier was eighth in the 800 meters.

The Colquitt County boys track team will compete in the Region 1-AAAAA prelims on Thursday at Lowndes.
