Rant and Rave for April 12, 2018

Immigrants

“We’ve brought some 25 million illegals into our country, so maybe bringing in 25 million more will fulfill your “compassion” needs? How about this: if we send 20 million of those illegals back who currently reside here we can watch our budget deficit shrink dramatically.”

Balance ‘Rant and Rave’

“I can understand why a business would choose not to come to Colquitt County based on the “I hate Democrats” column called the Rant and Rave. Like minded hate and shoot ‘em up gun fanatics that post in this column are frightening. Can The Observer balance out the posts so our county doesn’t sound like a militia outpost?”

Donald Trump

“A bunch of people are going to be in big trouble, with some winding up behind bars.

“Trump at crisis point on Mueller.

“It would be suicide for the president to fire Mueller.

“Trump’s fury at the FBI’s raid on Monday on Michael Cohen, his personal lawyer, has triggered the latest crisis surrounding the Mueller probe.”

Prom and Grand March

“Not having the prom or Grand March at the high school is not right. Students attending CCHS should be permitted to use the facility for prom and Grand March. How would the baseball team feel if they were told they had to play baseball at the Rec fields. Hope the new principal makes right decisions for everyone. Bring tradition back!”

Funston water

“The water in Funston was messed up. Instead of writing to Rant & Rave I called the number on my water bill, reported the problem, found out what was being done, followed up a day later. I know what was up with the water.”

Treating Trump unfairly

“So many of the Rants I read capture my feelings so well. People are good at presenting their viewpoints very well. I am conservative and dislike the treatment liberals are giving President Donald Trump. Seems like nobody on the left wants to give him a fair chance at succeeding at anything. Nobody dared treat Obama this way.”

Who’s deplorable?

“Children come across the border fleeing violence and extreme poverty, trying to find refuge. Some people want to help these innocent people, some want to turn them away and send them right back. You tell me which side is deplorable.”
