United Way of Colquitt County asks community to help them

MOULTRIE – The United Way of Colquitt County’s 2025 campaign season is nearing its final weeks, and they need help to reach their goal.

“Together, we can make a difference that will transform lives and strengthen our community. This year’s campaign theme, “Be a Game Changer,” has inspired many, but we’re counting on your continued support to meet our ambitious goal and make a lasting impact,” said Caroline Horne, United Way executive director.

United Way supports more than 60 vital programs across Colquitt County, ensuring services are available for people at every stage of life. From early literacy programs that set children on the path to success to delivered meals that provide comfort and nutrition to elderly neighbors, these initiatives play a critical role in fostering a resilient and thriving community, Horne said.

“The Alice Initiative has highlighted the struggles of hardworking families who live paycheck to paycheck, barely able to meet their basic needs,” she also said. “Our ability to meet this year’s pledged goal ensures that we can provide these families and others with resources and support that truly make a difference.”

Every dollar raised goes directly to funding programs that:

Equip children with books and tools to foster a love of reading and learning.

Provide food security and meals to seniors who are homebound.

Support local nonprofit agencies addressing critical health, education, and financial stability challenges.

Empower families to achieve self-sufficiency through workforce training and financial education.

With only a few short weeks remaining in this campaign season, now is the time to take action, Horne said. Whether through payroll deduction, individual contributions, or workplace campaigns, support can help them meet their goal and continue funding these programs.

“Let’s come together as a community and finish strong. Be a Game Changer. Be a Difference Maker. Your contribution today will help ensure that United Way can sustain and expand its impact in 2025,” Horne said.
