VALDOSTA — A 43-year-old Valdosta man lost his life Monday in a single-vehicle accident. 

According to the Georgia State Patrol, 43-year-old Michael Anthony Johnson, was driving a 1992 Ford Mustang traveling east on Fender Road when he failed to negotiate a curve and overcorrected, causing the car to go into a spin and leave the roadway. 

Reports indicate the vehicle went airborne and overturned. 

GSP Cpl. Chris Kelch reported that Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene. 

No other vehicles were involved in the accident and no charges were filed. An investigation into the contributing factors is going.
