Some thoughts on Sept. 11 tragedy

This discussion is offered to those who insist that the floors of the two “World Trade Center” buildings were pre-loaded with explosives. Consider: In a multi-level structure, such as the two “World Trade Center” buildings in New York City that suffered impact of an airplane. Logically as each floor collapsed, the compressed volume of air would escape following the path of least resistance, I E :walls, windows and doors. The force would we similar to that caused by explosive devices. Example: 200 feet x 200 feet measurement of a typical floor = 40,000 Sq. feet – 10 feet spacing between floors. times 10 = 400,000 cubic feet dead air space. So – floor after floor failure will result in compresive exhaust, or explosive discharge.

Note: Era 1976, project superintendent for Ingalls Iron Works, B’ham, Ala. on the World Trade Center, New York. The structural steel was fabricated by Ingalls Iron Works, B’ham, Ala., and erected under the supervision of Mr. Fogel.

Mr. Fogel and myself were associated thru construction projects. In 1978 when interest rates rose to 25% (Carter Presidency) I sold a viable crane and erection company in Atlanta and worked with Mr. Fogel for eleven years, leasing cranes worldwide, for the crane company that Mr. Fogel rented cranes to construct the World Trade Buildings.

On the morning of (9-11-01) I phoned my friend Mr. Fogel (retired) in B’ham., Ala. who had not yet awaken for the day, I said, “turn on the T V”, a long silence – his remark, “ such a tragedy, unbelievable.”
