“The ranter’s experience of sitting in the street waiting for a ‘family reunion’ to break up and go home happens way too often in Moultrie. Perhaps we should start making photos of these events and publishing them … at least send them to the police department. These kinds of people are indeed belligerent, just wanting to start something.  But the ranter was wise not to escalate the situation. You would not win that argument in the street or in court.

Scammers

“I’m getting calls from various alleged organizations wanting money for a broad array of causes. I’m not buying their goods because I think they are frauds. Here’s a suggestion, if you are a local organization that will be making phone calls soliciting money for your call, why don’t you notify The Moultrie Observer and let them run a comprehensive list with corroborating information such as local contact numbers for verification.

Road issue

“Would someone who lives on Ellenton Norman Park Road between He and She beauty shop and Lindsey’s Cash and Carry please run for County Commission? We really need this stretch of road repaved. Tired of being ignored. It’s really rough in some spots and the edges going into the local packing sheds have been worn away by truck traffic.

Bullying

“Bullying other employees has got to stop! To be scared at work or to be scared to go to work should not be something someone has to feel. Have to work, if I don’t who will pay my bills, insurance!!! If you see something or hear something SAY SOMETHING!!!! Be that persons advocate!!
