Flowers to perform for ‘Stories & Song’ series

DALTON, Ga. — On Friday, March 15, at 7 p.m., singer-songwriter Abigail Flowers will perform for the Creative Arts Guild’s “Stories & Song” concert series. Flowers is a jazz vocalist from Nashville, Tennessee. “She combines the sweet sound of the baritone ukulele with her warm, precise vocal tone to create a musical experience that is both original and familiar at the same time,” her Facebook page says. Flowers will be accompanied by fellow songwriter and guitarist Raymond Joseph. “Stories & Song” is a five-show series with a concert every third Friday from January through May 2019. The series offers a look inside the artist’s mind and creative process as each musician shares the stories behind the songs. Tickets are $10 for general admission; $8 for senior citizens; and $5 for Dalton State College students and area students in grades k-12. Children under 5 are admitted free. For more information, visit www.creativeartsguild.org/music/concerts-and-performances/. You can purchase tickets online at that site. Other questions?
