MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. — A watercraft that was reported stolen by a Putnam County man earlier this month was recovered Saturday in Baldwin County. The 1995 Sea Doo Bombardier GTX jet ski, valued at $1,000, was reported stolen in neighboring Putnam County July 9. According to a Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office incident report a deputy responded to a radio dispatch call Saturday to a residence on Ga. Route 212 in reference to the watercraft having been found in a marshy area. A resident discovered the watercraft and told the deputy that he had been riding his all-terrain-vehicle (ATV) in the area of Christmas Lane near Stiles Cemetery Road when he spotted the Sea Doo. When the deputy got to the scene, he got the registration number off the Sea Doo and reported to a dispatcher, who later verified the watercraft had been stolen in Putnam County earlier in the month. As of Monday afternoon, no one had been arrested in connection with the theft, authorities said.
