Rant and Rave for March 14, 2019

Good spot for a restaurant

“There’s a lot of traffic and congestion at the BP located at Pavo Rd. and 319 South bypass intersection. Would someone please consider opening a fast food restaurant in this area? There are many doctors offices, the hospital, Sunset School, apartments, and multiple subdivisions, but not a single restaurant on this side of town.”

Music so loud I can’t sell my house

“I totally agree concerning the loud music that is coming from different cars. The music is so bad in Funston until I can’t sell my home due to the loud music. The buyer told me no way would they live in Funston with the loud music she heard. Something need to be done.”

Reaction to ‘cover up’ rant

“Remember men of hairy thigh, cover up or disappoint the man on high.”

Football is not king

“It makes me sad to think we live in a community that is ready to fire our superintendent because people heard he was responsible for the football coach’s suspension but those same people want to save the coach, no matter what they hear that he might have done. God help our community. Football is NOT king. Neither is Propst.”

Leadership roles should have college degrees

“I just noticed the MPD has an Asst. Chief now. I’m confused as to how one qualifies for the Asst and Chief position with no college education and there’s ones under them with College Degrees! Hmmm … Good ole boy system at its best! I guess it’s true that it’s all in who you know.”

Thought we were all smart here

“To the ranter: I have always thought we were smart people in Colquitt County. After all who else but us smart people would not being paying this wonderful, moral coach all this money so we could be known as the winning team. But, we lost the championship the last 2 years.”
