Futch attends Trump rally in Macon

MACON – Former president and presidential candidate Donald Trump spoke at a rally at the Atrium Health Amphitheater in Macon. Local resident, Dennis Futch was there with his family.

Futch, who is chairman of the Colquitt County GOP and chairman of the Georgia Republican Party Rural Mobilization Initiative, spoke with Trump about his work with the Rural Voter Taskforce.

“I was there at the request of the Trump campaign to speak to the president about my successful efforts in getting out the vote in rural Georgia as chairman of the GAGOP Rural Voter Taskforce,” he said. “I briefed President Trump and he thanked me.”

Futch also said that he took his granddaughter, Chloe Carter, 10, with him because she was a big Trump fan.

He said he wanted to make a point of getting young people involved in politics early to raise them right. He said he wanted to set the example for others. Futch also wanted to illustrate that the election was about his granddaughter’s future and other children’s too.
