Georgia Southern announces President’s List

STATESBORO — Georgia Southern University recently recognized approximately 2,280 students for excellence in academics on the Spring 2024 President’s List. To be eligible for the President’s List, a student must have at least a 4.0 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.

Moultrie-area students on the list included Emmanuel Basilio of Moultrie, Zachary Braun of Hartsfield, Dale Cox of Moultrie, Isabella Jacobs of Moultrie, Jayla Rivera of Coolidge and Gabrielle Smith of Moultrie.

Moultrie-area students on the list included Samaya Bridges of Moultrie, Alyxander Gant of Moultrie, Ragan Harden of Doerun, Katherine Horne of Norman Park, Joshua Massey of Moultrie and Pedro Mendoza of Omega.

Mercer University announces Spring 2024 President’s, Dean’s Lists

MACON — Mercer University recently announced the President’s List and Dean’s List for the spring 2024 semester. Inclusion on these lists requires students to meet rigorous GPA standards specific to the college or school within the university.

Moultrie-area students on the lists include Timothy Cordista, sophomore, School of Engineering, President’s List; Taylor Huffman, sophomore, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Dean’s List; and Jeb Johnson, senior, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, President’s List.

Washington earns Dean’s List honor at Tennessee Tech University

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee Tech University has announced that Nyquann Washington of Moultrie has been named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2024 semester.

To be included on the Dean’s List, students must attend the university full-time and earn a grade-point average of at least 3.1 on the 4.0 scale.

Fletcher named to Dean’s Honor Roll at the University of Mississippi

UNIVERSITY, Miss. — Ava Fletcher, of Coolidge, was named to the University of Mississippi’s Spring 2024 Honor Roll lists.

Fletcher, majoring in Integrated Marketing Communications, was named to the Dean’s Honor Roll, which is reserved for students who earn a semester GPA of 3.50-3.74.

Moultrie resident graduates with honors from James Madison University

HARRISONBURG, Va. — Abigale White of Moultrie graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from James Madison University during commencement exercises in May 2024.

White was among more than 4,482 students who received undergraduate and graduate degrees.

Georgia State announces Dean’s List

ATLANTA — Three Moultrie-area students were named to the Dean’s List at Georgia State University.

To be eligible for the Dean’s List, degree-seeking students must have earned a GPA of at least 3.5 for a| minimum of nine semester hours of academic credit taken at Georgia State during the fall or spring term with no incompletes for the semester. Eligible students must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 for all classes taken at Georgia State.

Among the honorees were Lincoln Kinsey of Norman Park, Landon Mckenzie of Moultrie and Mary Willis of Pavo.

Chen named to the President’s List at Georgia State University

ATLANTA — Wenkang Chen of Moultrie was named to the Spring 2024 President’s List at Georgia State University.

To be eligible for the President’s List, degree-seeking students must have earned a GPA of at least 4.0 for a minimum of nine semester hours of academic credit taken at Georgia State during the fall or spring term with no incompletes for the semester.

Eligible students must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 for all classes taken at Georgia State.
