Disneyland goes dark
ANAHEIM, CA (RNN) – The power is out at Disneyland in California, and some visitors are stuck on rides.
The amusement park is having issues with a transformer specific to the park, but does not know when the power will be back on, CNN reports.
The park is only accepting guests for re-entry. Meaning, if a guest hasn’t entered the park previously, that person is out of luck for a while.
Rides affected include Toontown, Fantasyland, and the Monorail. Guests are being escorted off about a dozen rides.
Geoff Fienberg and his family were stuck on It’s a Small World when the power went out and were escorted off the ride.
“It was interesting to see the bowels of Disneyland,” he said on CNN.

He also said people were evacuating the rides in a calm and orderly fashion, and no one was panicking.
Disneyland is almost at capacity with visitors flooding the park during the holiday week, with many paying “peak” pricing for tickets. The Disney parks will charge higher prices for single day tickets on days the parks expect large crowds.

The Georgia Bulldogs and Oklahoma Sooners football teams are scheduled to visit the park after 2 p.m. Pacific time. The team is in California for the Rose Bowl. The Dawgs take on the Oklahoma Sooners Monday evening.
According to Twitter, the Sooners are still planning to attend the park after their practice.
