FBLA competes at regional level

MOULTRIE, Ga. — Members of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) from Colquitt County High School and C. A. Gray Jr. High School attended the FBLA Region Leadership Conference at Southern Regional Technical College on Jan. 12.

The 22 members attending competed in various competitions such as Business Calculations, Entrepreneurship, Personal Finance, and many others. Members placing in the top 10 are: Lexi Prosser placed 10th in Business Calculations; Qa’vonte Thomas placed 4th in Digital Video Production; Vicky Zhang placed 5th in Economics; Jackie Ramirez-Rubio placed 7th in Graphic Design; Melanie Flora placed 3rd in Hospitality Management; Jennie Hernandez placed 5th in Hospitality Management; Discovery Rojo placed 10th in Marketing; Sonny Patel, Discovery Rojo, and Vicky Zhang placed 5th as a team in Publication Design; Tyler Livingston and Darrius Williams placed 8th as a team in Sports & Entertainment Management; Ryan Trevino placed 2nd in Impromptu Speaking; Sonny Patel placed 7th in Job Interview; and German Llamas placed 7th in Public Speaking.

Lexi Prosser, Vicky Zhang, and Ryan Trevino scored high enough at the Region Leadership Conference to advance to the State Leadership Conference in March. Other members will attend the State Leadership Conference in March and will compete in competitions offered only at the state level.
