Daddy-Daughter Dance is Saturday at Southern Regional Technical
MOULTRIE — Fathers and daughters will get a chance to celebrate their bond once again as they dance the floors of Southern Regional Technical College for the second year in a row.
The Serenity House will be hosting the Daddy Daughter Dance Saturday, Feb. 1, from 7 to 9 p.m. at SRTC, located at 800 North Veterans Parkway. Pictures begin at 5 p.m.
Tickets start at $35 per couple and $10 per each additional daughter. The Moultrie Service League, Moultrie Federated Guild and Moultrie Junior Woman’s Club will also provide refreshments.
All proceeds go toward the Serenity House, Colquitt County’s domestic abuse center
This is the second year the dance will be at SRTC, but organizer Kristi Griffin said this year’s dance will be its decade celebration. Nothing will change from last year’s dance, however.
“Last year was our big change because we moved it from a Friday to a Saturday to allow more time for the dads’ preparation and for the whole daddy-daughter date night concept,” Griffin said.
Griffin said the estimated attendance for the dance is around 200-250 people.
“It’s by far our biggest fundraiser of the year and one of our most rewarding fundraisers,” she said. “We just enjoy providing opportunities for the daddies and daughters to spend quality time and make everlasting memories.”
Tickets can be purchased at DOCO Credit Union, located at 1705 Fourth Avenue N.E., and Crystal Pharmacy, located at 705 South Main Street.
