Rant and Rave for August 30, 2018

Media focused on Democrat while Republican did better

“The liberal websites I visited on Wednesday all touted the incredible, amazing and super victory of Gillum (D) in the Florida Primaries; the DeSantis (R) primary victory was an afterthought in most articles. Yet DeSantis garnered 100,000 MORE votes than Gillum. Why not give these candidates equal coverage? The media’s double standard is obvious for all to see.”

Shooter brought guns from out-of-state

“So, this Jacksonville shooter bought his handguns legally in liberal Maryland, then took them into Florida illegally. Now, illogically, Florida’s gun laws are being blamed but are irrelevant. Criminals could care less about laws, obviously. Now, the usual people are using this shooting as justification for more Florida gun laws. Florida laws weren’t obeyed in the first place.”

Farmers feed us all

“Farmers feed us all. Backyard gardening only benefits your family. You were a farmer all your life so stop complaining. You know how it works.”

Pray for the children

“Pray for the children. They are raising themselves and siblings, dealing with the pressures of a polluted society, and have parents who humiliate them by going on outrageous tirades on social media. Wake up parents. Be a role model — not an embarrassment — to your children. Ignorance runs in all social circles; not just the ‘poor.’ Regardless the situation, the children suffer.”

Alcohol issues

“I’m not bothered by the idea to allow drinking up town for special events any more than I am about the liquor stores all over town. I don’t touch the stuff but what right do I have to decide the issue for others?”

Dramatic drop in casualties

“For each of Obama’s 96 months in office, America lost an average of over 17 combat casualties per month, sadly enough. During Trump’s 19 months in office, America lost an average of just over 1 combat casualty per month. Though still a sad number, combat casualties dropped dramatically under Trump’s command.”
