Farm League opens Monday

MOULTRIE — The Moultrie-Colquitt County Parks and Recreation Department’s Farm League baseball schedule will begin on Monday with a pair of games on Field 3 of the Magnolia Sports Complex.

Wendy’s will meet McAlpin Signs at 6 p.m. in the league’s first game of the season. Southwest Georgia Bank will meet Ameris at 7:15.

The league, for youngsters 9- and 10-years old, will include 10 teams. The schedule runs through Friday, June 2. Games will be played on four nights next week. There will be no games schedule the following week, which in spring break. Games will resume on Monday, April 10.

The league’s 10 teams are:

Southwest Georgia Bank, coached by Robby Pitts. His players are Ryan Holland, Daniel Mobley, Dalton Murphy, Quint Pitts, Colby Reneker, Ben Shiflett, Samuel Smith, Taylor Duke, Charlie Zeanah, Cason Wells, Justin Barfield, Warren Funderburk and Lance Shealy.

McAlpin Signs, coached by Lavon Stripling. The players are Ryan Clifton, Chase Godwin, Eli Stripling, Austin Kinard, Ross Goforth, Austin Hunnicutt, John Baker, Timothy Clay, Louis Comer, Ketrick Hayes, Zachary Henderson, Jacob Hilton and Alex Price.

Dale Roberts will coach the Ameris team. His players are Andrew Johnson, Lane Carroll, Bryce Johnston, Elijah Gomez, Devon Day, Nathan Mercer, Hudson May, Garrett May, Pax Newsome, Ryan Pipkin, Will Roberts, Michael Benton and Andrew Newton.

Zaxby’s will be coached by Warren Bozeman. The players are Devon Tindell, Gatlyn Peacock, D.J. Hurst, Preston Berry, Francis Kundi, Jonah Bozeman, Hunter Hancock, Nicholas Mobley, Tyler Key, Adam Webb, Perry Wiard, Beau Scarberry and Ryan Wallace.

Joey Hathcock will coach Lazarus. His roster includes John Gray, Steven Lloyd, Drew Penuel, Hal Bennett, Mack Hathcock, Jacob Flinchum, Braden Flinchum, Eric Gould, Collin Bentley, Kendrick Burton, Brayan Castro, Austin Lasseter and Dontae Barfield.

Greg Wells is coaching Random Design. The team’s players are Nelson Hamilton, Caleb Jarosh, Steven Vick, Andy Bush, Kyle Ashley, Lyman Hinson, Chad Jacobs, Cody Jenkins, Alex Johnson, Hunter Presley, Tyler Presley, Mark Walden, Jim Waldrop and Tristan Wells.

Wendy’s is coached by Allen Dalton. His players include Tristin Frazier, Hunter Kimble, Gabe Mobley, Dalton Dillon, Austin Mercer, Zachary Murphy, Alex Pate, Nicholas Amador, Beau Dalton, Micah Edwards, Isaac Hall, Cambrick Taylor, Mike Torres and Dantrell Turner.

The Custom Cabinet coach is Don Price. The team’s players are Matthew Wilkerson, Matthew McCrae, T.J. Robertson, Hunter Price, Ryan Chatman, Blake Lee, William Bell, Oshay Williams, Shawn Bonner, Cole Bryant, John Buck Eunice, Preston McMurphy and Adam Merritt.

Rick Lott will coach Rocky’s. His players are Hunter Lott, Tony Simpson, Tyler Wynn, Baley Yarbrough, Tyler Cook, Nick Harper, Zane Hembree, Parker Hoes, Logan Johnson, Sam Key, Lincoln Kinsey, Tyler Pifer and Andrei Alekseichuk.

Farm Bureau will be coached by Bobby Hawes. The team’s players are Braxton Jones, Nick Nichols, Wade Hawes, Matthew Moody, McKenzie Blanchett, Burton Brown, Brandon Chafin, Jared Howard, Hart Sumner, Jay Tolbert, Davis Howell, Zackery McNeal and Peyton Payne.
