MOULTRIE, Ga. — Ameris Bank Market President Ronnie Marchant recently announced that Collin Batchelor has joined the bank as a business banker at the bank’s location at 300 S. Main St.

In this position, Batchelor will build and maintain business relationships in the local area and assist the bank’s customers with any banking needs, according to a press release from the bank.

Batchelor has more than five years of public accounting experience with an emphasis on bank, small business and government audits. His banking experience includes bank audits, internal audits, loan reviews, loan and deposit compliance.

“We are extremely excited to have Collin join our talented team of bankers in Moultrie and having his wife, Kayla, be a part of the residency program at Colquitt Regional Medical Center,” said Ameris Bank Market President Ronnie Marchant. “Collin’s public accounting and banking experience will benefit our customers in the area and we look forward to having him be an active part of our community.”

Before joining Ameris Bank, Batchelor previously served as senior accountant/auditor at Nichols, Cauley and Associates, LLF and as in-charge accountant/auditor at TJS Deemer Dana LLP.

Batchelor has a bachelor’s degree in both accounting and finance from Georgia Southern University and is a certified public accountant. He is a member of The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).

His wife, Dr. Kayla Batchelor, is a recent graduate of the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine and is attending the Georgia South Family Residency program at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
