The Lady Packers scored first on Monday against the Lady Jackets when Shyanne Harp doubled home Aziah McNeal in the second inning. McNeal was running for Lanie Burley, who had drawn a walk.
But it was the only run Colquitt could manage against Thomas County Central’s Laney Mobley, who allowed just two hits and struck out four.
The Lady Jackets, now 9-5 overall, tied the game with a run in the bottom of the third then scored three more in the fifth. Jaida Pinkins had a two-single to give her team the lead.
Colquitt’s only other hit was a double by Peyton Arrington.
Lilah Thompson started in the circle for the Lady Packers and gave up eight hits and all four runs, only three of which were earned. She struck out three.
Arrington relieved Thompson in the fifth, retiring all six batters she faced, striking out two.
