Couponing

The Moultrie-Colquitt County Parks and Recreation Authority will host a program on money saving tips and couponing at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, at the Ryce Center.

Hope Edwards will teach how to establish and personalize your budget, build an emergency fund and save for retirement with couponing and rebate tricks.

Baptist Association

The Home Mission Baptist Association is being held at 7 p.m. Oct. 10-13 at Rochelle Baptist Church in Moultrie.

Thursday night was choir night. Friday and Saturday events will begin at 10 a.m., and Sunday’s events wills tart at 9:45 a.m.

The Rev. W.B. Sales is moderator; Sis. Suprina Green is president; and the Rev. Gale F. Harris is pastor and vice moderator.

Class of 1955

The Moultrie High School Class of 1955 will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at Applebee’s. Please plan to attend as plans for the Christmas dinner will be discussed. The dinner will be held Saturday, Dec. 7, at Ray and Chris Norman’s pond house. There will be no meeting in November.

Pastor anniversary

Live Oak Missionary Baptist Church, 501 Eighth St. N.W., will hold its 35th pastoral anniversary celebration at 7 p.m. Monday-Wednesday, Oct. 14-16.

This year’s theme is “Celebrating the laborer that dwells among us,” based on 1 Thess. 5:12-13.

Churches on the program are, on Monday, Norman Grove Missionary Baptist Church; Tuesday, Overcoming Faith Temple Holiness Church; and Wednesday, Macedonia Baptist Church.

The celebration will conclude on Sunday, Oct. 20, with Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. and worship service at 11 a.m.

The Rev. J.W. Greene Jr. is the pastor.
