Ameris Bank promotes five longtime Moultrie employees

MOULTRIE — Ameris Bank recently promoted five longtime Moultrie area employees who share nearly 100 years of combined banking experience.

The promotions represent the team’s commitment to exceptional service and financial expertise, the bank said in a press release.

Mary Jane Alonzo expanded her responsibility as branch service manager of the bank’s Moultrie location on South Main Street. Alonzo joined Ameris in 1996 and has served in roles of increasing responsibility with the bank throughout her career. She is a member of the Colquitt County Chamber of Commerce and volunteers with the United Way.

Kayla Harrelson was promoted to branch manager of the South Main Street location after serving as personal banker. Harrelson has been with Ameris for more than 18 years and is involved with the United Way and Relay for Life.

Stephanie Henderson expanded her responsibilities as branch manager of the Sunset branch. Henderson has been in banking for 17 years and is an ambassador for the Moultrie-Colquitt County Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Kiwanis Club of Moultrie.

Jennifer Childs was promoted to branch service manager of the Doerun location. She has been with Ameris for five years and is a graduate of Leadership of Colquitt County.

Eric Hall was promoted to assistant branch manager from the personal banker role at the Doerun location. Hall has worked in banking for more than 30 years in roles ranging from teller to loan officer.

“This team’s collective 90+ years of experience in banking along with their strong ties in our community make them the natural fit to lead our branches,” said Ameris Bank Regional President Michael Lee. “Their financial expertise and emphasis on building strong relationships are an asset to our community.”
