Rant and Rave for May 31, 2018

Chicago’s guns

“Chicago, with nearly the strictest gun laws in America, and where average citizens are not allowed to own, much less carry guns, has now had over 1,000 shootings thus far this year. Yes, the gang bangers are well armed but the citizens are not.”

Landlords

“If a landlord is paid ten thousand dollars, how much did their homes cost? Probably fifty thousand or more. Add property taxes, repairs, maintenance, those costs are deducted from that ten thousand. Landlords don’t make what you think. Their “cash flow” is high while their profits are usually low. Government should leave them alone.”

Billions

“So if Trump is having so much trouble getting $70 billion for the wall, where did Obama manage to get $150 billion to give, scott free, to Iranian terrorists?”

Rejected by the VA

“Good to read the story about veterans helping each other in the newspaper. I applied for VA healthcare and got my rejection letter within 10 days. Nearly a decade of active duty service got me nothing but rejection from the VA.”

Alberto

“Watched the weather people as they hyped Alberto this weekend and pushed their global warming agenda. You’d have thought this was the storm of the millennia as “the tides ramped up to great heights”; passersby just giggled and watched the drama queens, including males, getting all worked up over nothing. Wow.”

Fake news

“Insofar as fake news, informed and alert viewers know what is real and what isn’t. The internet is the great equalizer. Fake news outlets cater to a select audience of unwitting dupes who are easily misled, but the rest of us aren’t. Many in the fake news audience won’t seek the truth, but the rest of us do.”

FBI corruption

“If the FBI now answers to absolutely no one and can plot endlessly against a sitting president at whose pleasure they serve, imagine what chance you and I have if they start coming after us. There is no better reason to be well armed than that.”

Duped

“I feel sorry for people who think God chose Trump as president. I truly think they have been duped by Satan.”
