Rant and Rave for Feb. 21, 2019

Presidents are open to rebuke too

“Yes, even kings, presidents and persons in authority need to be rebuked sometimes. The bold prophet Nathan rebuked King David for his indiscretion with Bathsheba and killing of her husband Uriah. The brash prophet Elijah confronted Ahab and Jezebel for trumped up charges of treason against little Naboth to get his vineyard.

“We need more bold pastors and prophets who will confront and rebuke the sitting president for multiple lies and flagrant disregard for the rule of law.”

Cheerleaders at basketball games

“It is very clear that most of the Packer cheerleaders do not want to be at the basketball games. How sad. You can not say anything about the fans, when the ones who are suppose to lead the fans do not yell or show any excitement about us winning!!”

High school the worst it’s ever been

“CCHS is the worst it’s ever been. Fights, drugs, and total disrespect has gotten out of hand. The principal has taken away dress code and most all rules. Students do as they please. Staff and assistant principals get no support from the principal. There’s no communication between principal and staff. Mr. Howell, can you not see how bad it is?”

Hospital, insurance no help with bewildering costs

“Healthcare costs are bewildering. Many without insurance are ripped off terribly. If you have a smaller insurance company, they won’t help you. This notion that, ‘These costs are best understood through a customized estimate based on…’; get real, try calling that hospital and they immediately confuse every cost and make it much more difficult. I know, I’ve tried.”

Baseball program needs a change

“Here we ago again another season with Kirkland and poor decisions. Colquitt county needs a big change in baseball program.”

National emergencies: Why is Trump different?

“Obama, Bush, Clinton declared National Emergencies at will throughout their administrations. National Emergencies were even declared in America against Burundi. How threatening is Burundi to you? So, just what is the legal reason Trump cannot do likewise? Maybe that reason is the old Democrat double standard rearing its ugly head again? TDS flaring again?”

Attack raises questions of credibility

“This Jussie Smollett hoax brings into focus media credibility. An imaginary assault on a leftist actor with zero supportive evidence gets 24/7 coverage. With their endless stream of hoaxes, Democrat propaganda factories wonder why Americans don’t believe their ‘man-made’ global warming ‘crisis.’ The leftist ‘journalists’ have, again, chosen to further their personal hatred and ideology over facts.”

Shooting renews call for gun bans

“Another mass shooting and Democrats renewed calls for more gun laws and gun bans. Yet Rep. Cummings, (D-MD), Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, voted against notifying ICE when an illegal alien fails a background check buying guns. The obvious, flagrant, hypocrisy of these Democrats is amazing. They want Americans’ guns banned, but not illegal aliens’ guns.”
