I am a collector of stories and will go to the ends of the earth to collect them. Everyone has a story to tell, which is what I have learned working as a reporter. Traveling to find those stories and learning about other people's journeys throughout this world feeds my soul.
As a child, I grew-up in the United States Army, moving about every three years as my Dad changed duty stations. I can attribute my passion for traveling to my early life. My family’s roots are deep in Colquitt County so this is where my parents retired when I was a teen. I moved to San Antonio, Texas after college and lived there for ten years, before returning to Moultrie.
Since returning home, in 2005, I've made my home in an apartment in a renovated 1920s hotel, in downtown Moultrie, just a short walk from The Moultrie Observer. Over the years, since I've been back, I've learned the value of having deep roots in a community; something I couldn't have appreciated until I left and came back.
