Bridges wins feature race at Albany Motor Speedway

Albany Motor Speedway was back in action on Saturday with racing in all classes.
The fans witnessed side-by-side racing action as the drivers battled it out on the 1/4-mile dirt oval.
The first feature of the night was the Wildcat Race Engines Pure Stock Division.
Michael Canady of Moultrie picked up the win. Bradley Frakes from Albany finished second and Travis Williams of Cairo finished third.
In the Tyson Steel Late Model Division, Kyle Bridges of Moultrie picked up his second win of 2012.
Kitt Sealy of Moultrie was second and regained the points lead. Robby Metts of Albany finished third.
The third feature of the night was The Limited Sportsman sponsored by the Doerun Gin Co.
Lucas Wesson of Cottondale, Fla., took the checkered flag for his first win after starting eighth.
Russell Welch, Wesson’s teammate, finished second and Jason Price of Pelham was third.
The Jackson Transmission Enduro Feature was won by Travis Tyson, who made the pass around second-place finisher Calvin Johnson coming off turn four on the last lap. Bryanna Vinent finished third.
The final race of the evening was the Mini Stock Division. Tyler Boyette led flag to flag to pick up the win.
Brett Roberts came home in second and current points leader Wesley Hutchinson was third.
Albany Speedway’s next race will be Saturday and will feature race No. 2 of the Budweiser Summer Shootout Series.
Gates will open at 4 p.m. Racing will begin at 7:30 p.m.
