Colquitt County coach Benjy Scarbor talks with two of his top young wrestlers, Cruz Grijalva and Cristobal Camarena Moreno, during Saturday’s season-opening Packer Scramble at the high school. Both qualified last season for the state tournament, where Grijalva placed sixth at 120 pounds. The Scramble drew wrestlers from Colquitt County, Cairo, Bainbridge, Lowndes and Valdosta. The Packers will wrestle next on Tuesday, Nov. 12, in the Tift County Scramble. On Saturday, Nov. 16, Colquitt will travel to Ola High School in McDonough to compete in the annual Raja Bryan Memorial Invitational.
