The youth group of Prophetic Walk Ministry, Inc., where the Prophet Ann Bazile is pastor, won the competition. The other churches competing included Greater Newton Grove pastored by the Rev. Cornelius Ponder III; Willow Grove pastored by Overseer Corey McGee; Union Baptist pastored by the Rev. R.O. Calhoun; Williams Tabernacle pastored by the Rev. Rufus Jolly; and Universal Love Center pastored by the Rev. Maxine Lewis.

The judges for the competition were Lillar Shepheard, First Lady Shirley Ponder, Minister Kevin Williams and Deacon James Wynn. The moderator was Mary “Mag” Gibson.

This main goal for this event was to promote community unity and to encourage the youth to study the Bible and have fun doing it.

S.W.A.T. ministry hopes to have more churches involved next year.

The members of this organization are Tonita Scott, president; Jennifer Blakley, vice president; Linda Erving, treasurer; Stephanie Lowe, secretary; Minster Debra Jackson and Cheryl Lawson, youth coordinators; and Catherine Shannon, Gloria Renee Hayes, Maggie Hall and Barbara “Mona” Wyche, outreach coordinators.

“We would like to thank everyone who helped in anyway to make this event the success it was and to God we give all the glory,” said Tonita Scott.
