Doors damaged at storage unit

An employee returning to a mini storage business Monday found that four of the units’ doors or locks had been damaged over the weekend.
The incident occurred at Downtown Mini Storage, 708 E. Central Ave., Moultrie police said.
Only three of the units were being rented at the time. As of the time the report was taken Monday, the renters were unable to determine what, if anything, had been stolen.
Two metal baseball bats were found in a hallway where the units are located, but it was not known if they had been used in the incident, police said.
In another property damage incident, J Harvey’s, 1700 First Ave. S.E., reported Monday that a light pole in the parking lot was struck by a vehicle.
Arrests
Moultrie Police
• Gregory Robinson, 30, 807 Seventh St. N.W., was charged Monday with battery (family violence).
Sheriff’s Office
• Matthew Thomas Webb, 32, 587 Blasingame Road, was charged Monday with failure to appear.
• Tony Robin Landrum, 51, 508 E. Willingham St., Sylvester, was charged Monday with probation violation.
Georgia State Patrol
• Jerry Dewayne Madison, 1005 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, was charged Sunday with driving under the influence, failure to maintain lane, open container in vehicle, safety restraint violation )under 8 years of age and endangering a child under 14 while driving under the influence.
Thefts
Moultrie Police
• Gino Bertoni, Jacksonville, Fla., reported Monday that three flat screen televisions — an LG 55-inch and two 46-inch Sony models — were stolen during a burglary in the 300 block of 11th Avenue Southwest.
The burglary originally was reported by a pool maintenance worker who noticed the back door of the house was open, police said.
Officers who secured the house found closet doors open and property on the floor, and Bertoni gave a list of stolen property totaling $5,200 when he came to check the property. Other stolen items included a Bose stereo system, Sony stereo system, Wii U video game with for games and controllers and two Sony DVD players.
Sheriff’s Office
• Doris Lewis, 500 block 26th Avenue Southeast, reported Monday the theft of two diamond rings and a set of China valued at $4,000.
• Paul Whiddon, 1628 Elton Clark Road, reported Monday the theft of an iPod Touch.
