Ross Cox, assistant vice president for administrative services at Moultrie Technical College (MTC) since June 2012, was recognized in November at the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) Vice Presidents of Administrative Services meeting in Atlanta for completing the TCSG Administrative Services Executive Academy and demonstrating professional education and commitment to his profession.

The Executive Academy was established in 2013 to provide college business officers training in four 8-hour sessions that encompass all the areas involved in the Administrative Services departments of Georgia’s technical colleges.

Such training topics included financial accounting and budgeting management, PeopleSoft accounting software, human resources, various reports to state and national offices, insurance, and business office functions. Only 30 individuals were recognized for completing the Executive Academy this year.

“This is the very first time that our TCSG system has ever done this, and it is a very important internal training for our upper level accounting staffs,” said TCSG Assistant Commissioner Lisa Eason to the group at the recognition event.
