Moultrie, Doerun charge 8 with drug offenses

Area law enforcement agencies made a number of drug cases over the weekend, with eight people arrested in Doerun and Moultrie.

On Saturday, the smell of burning marijuana alerted officers to a man smoking in a truck parked at about 11:20 p.m. in the 200 block of Eighth Street Southwest.

During the investigation, a small amount of marijuana and a .40-caliber Glock pistol were recovered, team Cmdr. Steve Exum said.

Martavious Trimble, 20, was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

On Sunday Michael Enoch, 28, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of cocaine after the search of a motel room.

Enoch allowed a search at about 11 p.m. of Room 157 at the Regency Inn, where officers found a small amount of each of the drugs, Exum said. The area FBI Gang Task Force had officers working with local officers during weekend activity.

Moultrie Police

• Billy Lamont Harris, 23, 1822 West Blvd., was charged Friday with window tint violation and possession of marijuana.

• Vontricia Latoya Whitaker, 30, 501 First Ave. S.W., was charged Saturday with possession of marijuana and head lights required.

• Demarcus Cornelius Macklin, 18, 1515 Fourth Ave. N.E., Apt. E-5, was charged Sunday with possession of marijuana and duty to obey.

• Terrance Jermaine King, 26, 621 Fourth Ave. S.W., was charged Saturday with possession of cocaine and obstruction.

Doerun Police

• Levinski Kenyon Williams, 27, 311-A Station Crossing, Albany, was charged Monday with possession of marijuana.

• Johnell Trayvon Walker, 18, 918 12th Ave., was charged Monday with possession of marijuana and driving without a license.

Sheriff’s Office

• Ryan Whitney Allegood, 25, 957 Wilburn Murphy Road, was charged Saturday with battery and cruelty to children.

He was arrested after Kristy Leigh Allegood, 24, reported that Ryan Allegood grabbed and held her by the hair and broke the window of her car with his fist. She reported that Ryan Allegood started an argument over money after she refused to give him money for gas.

When he put his foot in a bedroom door to prevent it shutting she hit his foot with the but end of a shotgun. They were treated at the residence but refused recommended treatment at the hospital, sheriff’s reports said.

• Johnny Franklin Sirmons, 60, 774 Mt. Sinai Church Road, was charged Saturday with pedestrian under the influence.

• Kane Crawford Key, 25, 409 Gene McQueen Road, was charged Saturday with probation violation.

• Edward Roshon Lamons, 26, 8723 Airline Road, Pavo, was charged Saturday with two counts of probation violation.

• Amanda Shay Hall, 25, 600 Trotters Ridge, Jefferson, Ga., was charged Sunday with battery and cruelty to children.

• Oscar Garcia, 19, 293 Norman Estates, was charged Saturday with suspended license and seat belt violation.

• Richard Keith Lacey, 53, 228 Annie McGee Road, was charged Friday with reckless driving and speeding.

Sheriff’s reports said that a deputy recorded Lacey driving at 103 miles per hour on Georgia Highway 37.

Moultrie Police

• Erica Nicole Daniels, 39, 612 Seventh St. N.W. Apt. C, was charged Sunday with battery, probation violation and giving a false name or date of birth.

Daniels is accused of hitting Curtis Yates with a beer bottle on Jan. 10 in the 400 block of Second St. S.W. Police said that on Sunday she gave a false name and date of birth to an officer who encountered her on Second Street Northwest.

• Chandra Lee Williamson, 33, 1215 12th St. S.W., was charged Saturday with driving under the influence, open container and tail light violation.

• Alexis Rebecca O’Brien, 20, 414 Prince Ave. Apt. 3, Tifton, was charged Friday with no driver’s license and speeding.

• Jerry Dewayne Madison, 31, 1005 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, was charged Friday with probation violation.

• Dan E. Hurtado Flores, 21, 1360 Gene McQueen Road, was charged Friday with no driver’s license.

• Dexter Lamar Herring, 41, was charged Friday with driving under the influence and no driver’s license.

• Donte Marcus Daniels, 20, Moultrie, was charged Friday with duty to obey officer.

• Jonathan Hernandez Romero, 24, Moultrie, was charged Friday with speeding and suspended driver’s license.

• Valeriano Almaraz Hernandez, 21, 180 Trailer Park Road, was charged Friday with no driver’s license and failure to maintain lane.

• Brenda McCastle Shipp, 55, 602 Northside Drive, was charged Saturday with public drunk.

 • Kenny Griffin, 38, 710 Seventh Ave. S.E., was charged Saturday with criminal damage.

• Prentice Eugene Merriweather III, 20, 604 Northside Drive, was charged Saturday with probation violation.

• Robert Lee Dinkins, 28, 410 E. Central Ave., was charged Sunday with no driver’s license.

• Bulmaro Luis Lucas, 26, 4648 Old Adel Road, was charged Sunday with no driver’s license.

• Valentin Olvera, 22, 176 Terry Baker Road, Norman Park, was charged Sunday with no driver’s license.

• Hemeterio Gomez Ortiz, 41, 176 Terry Baker Road, Norman Park, was charged Sunday with no driver’s license.

• Omar Gonzalez, 34, Edge Road Lot 142, Doerun, was charged Sunday with no driver’s license.

• Israel Cesar Arellano Cruz, 38, 1515 Fourth Ave. N.W. Apt. I-4, was charged Sunday with no driver’s license.

• Kindall Kirk Smith, 48, 800 Seventh Ave. S.E., was charged Sunday with driving while license suspended.

• Trevor Michael Haynes, 32, 516 Fifth Ave. N.W., was charged Sunday with driving under the influence, open container and no driver’s license.

• Brian Joell Bolanos, 29, 412 Ninth Ave. S.E., was charged Saturday with no brake lights, no insurance and driving with a suspended license.

• Scrap Johnson III, 25, Haven Hills, was charged Sunday with probation violation.

• Oswaldo Gomez, 36, and Barbara Soto Gomez, 56, both of 1528 Abbey Road, Harvey, La., were each charged Friday with financial transaction card fraud.

Doerun Police Department

• Eric Debruce Jr., 23, 720 Whitney Ave. Apt. B, Albany, was charged Saturday with driving while license suspended, window tint violation and child restraint violation

• Maurice Rashad Baker, 21, 1505 Sunrise Ave., was charged Monday with window tint violation.

Assaults

Moultrie Police

• Shakiya Lewis, 1500 block Fourth Avenue Northeast, reported Sunday that a female family member hit her in the forehead with a high-heeled shoe in a parking lot on Veterans Parkway and then followed her home where she caused a disturbance.

Police were called to a possible fight in Northgate Apartments. The other woman already had left, police said.

Lewis said she was told that the woman waved a kitchen knife which she threw on the ground before leaving.

Lewis had a bump on her forehead. Police recovered a knife in the parking lot at the apartment complex.

Thefts

Sheriff’s Office

• Anthony Jones, 1000 block Holmes Drive, reported Sunday that a window pane was taken from the rear of his residence.

• Angela O’Grady, 800 block U.S. Highway 319 North, reported Saturday the theft of a Dodge Caravan.

Moultrie Police

• Stephen Enoch, 900 block West Boulevard, reported Friday the theft of two Next stunt bicycles, one red and one green, with a total value of $204.

• Kenneth Simon, Moultrie, reported Friday the theft of an air conditioning unit valued at $3,000 from a house in the 800 block of Sixth Avenue Southeast.

• Save-A-Lot, 205 Sixth St. S.E., reported Friday that two males and two females came in and shoplifted meat, canned food and tortillas with a total value of $40.

• Huberto Guzman, 600 block 13th Avenue Southwest, reported Sunday that a female acquaintance took his wallet containing his Mexican identification and birth certificate when she left his residence.

Property damage

Sheriff’s Office

• Craig Stevens, 100 block Hugh Bannister Drive, reported Sunday that the side wall of a barn was damaged with an ax while he was out of town.

Moultrie Police

• Cedric Martin, Moultrie, reported that a 1992 Honda Accord EX was struck by a 2003 Pontiac Bonneville while parked in the 1400 block of North Main Street. Martin told police that the other driver left without stopping.

Other investigations

Moultrie Police

• Moose Lodge, 16 25th St. S.E., reported Friday that a man paid for food and drinks with two $100 bills that later were found to be counterfeit.

The two bills had the same serial numbers, police said. The case is under investigation.
