The Colquitt County middle school boys track team placed second in a five-team meet in Tifton on Tuesday.

The middle school girls were fourth.

For the middle school Lady Packers, Michaela Benefile was first in the shot put and Genesis Cody was second.

Tyrese King turne in the best finish for the middle school boys team, finishing first in the 800 meters.

King also was second in the 400 meters.

Also taking second-place finishes were Allen Key in the shot put and discus; Jake Merritt in teh 1,600 megters; Jamarious Walker, in the 220-meter hurdles;And the 4×100-meter relay team of Montarious Stringer, Jaquan Willis, Mararious Walker and Tykerious Jones.

Also competing for the middle school boys on Wednesday were Da’Nas Andrews, fifth in high jump and 800 meters and sixth in long jump; Sheronsky Sloan, third in the 1,600 meters; and sixth in the 110-meter hurdles;  Andrew Walker, fourth in 1,600 meters; Montarious Stringer, second in heat int eh 100-meter dash; Tykerious Jones, firsti n heat in the 100-meter dash; and the 4×400-meter relay team of Stringer, Willis, Walker and King, which finished third.
