Mother Easter to celebrate its pastor

The Rev. Freddie L. Castle will celebrate his fourth anniversary as the pastor of Mother Easter Baptist Church on Sunday, Oct. 20, with the Rev. Tamorris D. Baulkman delivering the anniversary message.
Baulkman was born, raised, and educated in Bainbridge, Ga. He continued his studies at Albany State University. He is the pastor of the Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church in Bainbridge, where he has served as pastor since 2011. He is also the manager of Guyton Brothers Funeral Home in that city.
Mt. Nebo’s Choir will provide the music.
Castle was born and raised in Homma, La. He received a Bachelors of Science from Grambling State University and obtained a Master of Divinity from Morehouse School of Religion at the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, Ga.
He was called into the ministry years ago while living in Houston, Texas. After relocating to Norman Park, he joined Mother Easter Baptist Church, where he was an associate pastor during the Rev. Emory H. Hopkins’ pastorate. He was later called to lead the congregation of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Tifton, Ga., where he served for ten years.
In July of 2009, Castle was called to lead the congregation of Mother Easter Baptist Church when the Rev. Hopkins retired. Presently, he remains employed with the Telfair State Prison as the clinical chaplain.
Castle is married to Margie A. Huckaby Castle and their children are Ryan, Erin, Cadon, and Lydia. Their son, Lee, is deceased.
