Charles Darrell Cooper, 72, of Valdosta, died Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013 at his residence.

A memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 20, in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services.

He was born in Pavo, on Jan. 9, 1941, to Mayo and Nathalee Truett Cooper. He was retired from the United States Army and he was the owner of Cooper Heating & Air. He was a member of the Azalea City Church of God.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Merle Hall; and two brothers, Danny Cooper and Morris Cooper.

Survivors include, his wife, Ellen Cooper of Valdosta, Ga.; daughters, Pam Beckmann of Valdosta, Ga., and Maria Cooper of Valdosta, Ga.; grandchildren, Levi McKinney of Valdosta, Ga., Jessica Corley of Valdosta, Ga., Mercedese Lehrer of Valdosta, Ga., Jaden Cowan of Rhode Island, and Kinsley Sheldon of Rhode Island; sisters, Annette Booth of Moultrie and Delores Cooper of Doerun.
