Beverly has served on the Board of Directors for 25 years. He assumes the term of chairman from the immediate past chairman, Charles Eidson, who will remain on the Board of Directors, according to a press release from the credit union.

Beverly graduated from Valdosta State College in 1974 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and obtained a master’s degree in finance from there in 1976. A Georgia-licensed Certified Public Accountant, he also serves as the finance director for the City of Adel and the Cook County Economic Development Authority. He has taught financial courses for Valdosta State University as an adjunct professor since 1983 and has also recently served as president of the 50,000-member VSU Alumni Association.

Beverly is married to the former Ginger Gibbs, a native of Moultrie.

As with other credit unions, all Southeastern FCU board members are local leaders who volunteer their time in guiding the general direction of the institution. Each board member serves a three-year term.
