James Lee Williams
NORMAN PARK — James Lee Williams, 52, of 2402 Norman Park-Doerun Road, Norman Park, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2003, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Shingler. Burial will be at Shepard Memorial Garden, Sylvester. The Rev. Dexter Taylor Sr. will officiate.
Mr. Williams was born June 16, 1951, in Worth County. He was educated in the Worth County Public School System and was a farm helper. At an early age he joined Powell Chapel Baptist Church in Sumner.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Williams; five daughters, Marie Williams, Tina Walker, Quatina Williams, all of Sylvester, Serita Williams of Moultrie and Sandra Tyler of Albany; two sons, James Williams Jr. and Curtis Lee Williams, both of Sylvester; four sisters, Dorothy Gilford, Clora Hooks, Rosa Edward and Leola Brown; and six grandchildren.

Patricia Louise Simmons
THOMASVILLE — Services for Patricia Louise Simmons, 62, of Thomasville are at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003, at First Baptist Church, where she was a member. The Rev. Dan Spencer and the Rev. Charles Neely will officiate and interment will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers are Greg Newberry, Mallory Parker, Dale Parramore, Dayne Parramore, Sam Sherrod and Buddy Stanaland.
Mrs. Simmons died Oct. 29 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born July 25, 1941, in Thomasville, she was the daughter of the late Graham Ernest Buckner and Louise Reddick Thomas of Sylvania, who survives. On May 11, 1985, in Thomasville she married Carey James Simmons, who preceded her in death. She was employed at Archbold Home Health Services.
Other survivors include daughter, Lois Celise Cliett; son, Robert Wayne Parramore; son and daughter-in-law, Emmett Christopher and Shelby Parramore, all of Coolidge; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer Rose and Dan Raymo of Easthampton, Mass.; grandchildren, David Wesley Cliett III, Ashley Brooke Cliett, Andrew James Cliett, Kandi Marie Parramore, Elizabeth Lynn Parramore, Roberta Renee Parramore, Courtney Leigh Parramore, Jessica Lane Parramore, Tyler William Raymo and Justin Wayne Raymo; sister and brother-in-law, Cecelia Buckner Reichert and Curtis of Thomasville; and special friends, Elton Wisham of Moultrie and Christy Gordy of Naples, Fla.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Friday.

Bennie Lee Graham Jr.
MOULTRIE — Bennie Lee Graham Jr., 49, of 919 Fifth St. N.W., died Monday, Oct. 27, 2003, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Live Oak Baptist Church with burial in Strong Memorial Garden. The Rev. J.W. Greene Jr. will officiate.
Mr. Graham was born Nov. 7, 1953, in Thomas County to the late Benny Lee Graham Sr. and Naomi Bean King. He was a butler at Ashburn Hill Plantation, and he was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include one son, Daniel Stokes and wife Bobbie of Tallahassee, Fla.; one daughter, Ashley Graham of Miami, Fla., a stepdaughter, Cassandra Collins of Moultrie; three brothers, Johnny King and wife Willa of Atlanta, Jeffery Davis and wife Erica of Moultrie and Jessie Bean and wife Patricia of Adel; five sisters, Joyce Phillips, Pauline Sharpe, both of Moultrie, Racheal Brugges of Pavo, and Janie Graham and Maggie King, both of Miami, Fla.; one grandchild, Reheem Davis; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Frances Carter Sumner
MOULTRIE — Frances Carter Sumner, 76, of 2004 Fourth St. S.E., died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003, at her residence.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, at Poulan Cemetery in Poulan. The Rev. Larry Bird will officiate.
Mrs. Sumner was born Feb. 16, 1927, in Lowndes County to Elmer Carter and Allie Mae Mathis Carter. She was a retired secretary for South Georgia Investments and was of the Methodist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Sumner.
Survivors include two sons, Joseph Alan Sumner of Moultrie and Robert Michael Sumner of Thomson.

Alberta Shiver Hortman
MOULTRIE — Alberta Shiver Hortman, 70, of 3011 Veterans Parkway No. 230, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with entombment in Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Michael Helms and Elder Cleston Brooks will officiate. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Hortman was born March 26, 1933, in Mitchell County to the late Fannie Shiver Floyd and the late Turner Shiver. She was a phlebotomist at Colquitt Regional Medical Center and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband, James Hortman of Doerun; sons, Richard Hortman and wife Beth of Douglasville, Marty Hortman of Flowery Branch and Tim Hortman of Carrolton; daughter, Kim Gleason and husband Danny of Nashville, Tenn.; brothers Jack Shiver of Camilla and Jessie Shiver of Baconton; sisters, Nell Shiver of Hopeful and Louise Boatwright of Mullins, S.C.; a half-brother, Jimmy Floyd; a half-sister, Brenda Pollock; eight grandchildren, Holly Camp, Heidi Aycock, Holly Gleason, Josh Walker, Erin Hortman, Sam Hortman, Taylor Hortman and Kayla Hortman; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today, Oct. 31, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Ruthie Elizabeth Jones Hall
COPPERHILL, Tenn. — Ruthie Elizabeth Jones Hall, 95, of Copperhill, Tenn., formerly of Moultrie, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003, in Copperhill.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with burial at Rose of Sharon Cemetery. Joe Jones will officiate, and her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Hall was born Dec. 15, 1907, in Copperhill, Tenn., to the late Henri Belle Stone Jones and the late T.B. Jones. She was a homemaker and was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Hilton Hall, and a daughter, Jeanette Shiflett.
Survivors include sons, Donald Hall and Mickey Hall, both of Moultrie; daughters, Beth Williams of Summerfield, Fla., Gwendolyn Thompson of Hasty, Ark., Elaine Holloway of Cherrylog, Ga., and Joann Hall of Copperhill, Tenn.; brothers, Fred Jones of Mableton, Derwin Jones of Moultrie and Sanford Jones of Albany; sisters, Frances Day of Albany and Doris Jones of Augusta; 19 grandchildren; 32 great-granchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today, Oct. 31, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
